Getting Here

Well we made it! Since you are all just dying to know all the details I will share them! We got to Portland with plenty of time to spare but the security line was very long. We get through finally and Ryan and two of our bags get pulled aside to be more thoroughly searched. This guy was taking every item out and painstakingly swabbing it then putting the swab in the scanner. He finally finished with the back pack and then moved on to Carson’s diaper bag. He even made us open the SEALED baby food to check the contents on the inside! I mean really! Anyway Linda had to intervene finally cuz our flight was boarding! So we make it to Phoenix but had to go outside the airport to go to another terminal thus having to go through security again and again the pulled our bags aside. At least they were faster but we still were the last ones on our flight. We stayed on the same plane in Chicago so that was easy. We finally make it to Miami but our flight was delayed b/c of weather so we had to HUSSEL to make our flight to La Paz. We get to LaPaz and they wont take Ryan’s visa, it took them forever to finally decide what to do with him. He now has a tourist visa. Which will cause some issues. Then we find out our bags didn’t make it cuz of the flight delay.  We  then had to describe every bag to them and what was in it so they can identify them. Next came all the costoms/ security/ check in to our next flight so by the time we made it to the waiting area it was 5 mins before we boarded. I have never gone a trip with so little layovers as this one. Carson was a ROCKSTAR!! The only flight he was fussy on was the one from Chicago to Miami. I KNOW that was b/c of all the people praying THANK YOU! Anyway I’m SO happy to be here, it almost feels like coming home! oh and we had no water when we arrived due to a “exploded” water tank which took  6 days to fix! Welcome to Bolivia!

Carson loved to look out the window!

Carson had his own seat the whole way, it was SO nice!
